Translated from its original Russian version, singer-songwriter Alex G sings about an “Enchanting Woman” who he describes as a beautiful woman he’s encountered with rewritten lyrics expressing his love and appreciating the shared emotion with someone while it’s currently in his life. With influences found in Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Vladimir Vysotsky, Bulat Okudzhava, and Rosenbaum, Alex G produces a mixture of original and translated songs valuing the special moments shared in life.
Motivated by creating music that both makes the listener feel beautiful and inspired, the romantic new single includes a piano-driven melody, opening up with amorous lyrics with his deep, vocals at the center of it all. “when we’re apart I write her letters in the cloud/ my smiles kiss her gently with sunlight/ when I feel breeze, I know she’s whispering to me” he sings to the mysterious woman he admires and soon after loses in “Enchanting Woman,” which he mentions he would rename “Love Letters In The Clouds” if he had the opportunity.
