Buffalo NY Artist Widell Inks Deal With Sony Distribution

We’re excited to share some exciting news of Buffal, New York based artist Widell, who’s now signed to a SONY Distributor ad paving his way through music industry!

Widell first began recording music when he was just 16 year old, marking his passion for music with the drop of his mixtape All We Do Is Smoke while as a student in high school. The release received positive local buzz, prompting him to start taking music more seriously.

His debut album Clowning came in 2018 with lead singles “38” and “Ridin’ Threw” opening the doors for his 2020 release Trap Still Open, which caught the ears of major labels including SONY/Orchard and racked up nearly half a million streams independently. These album releases display his love for the game, existent charisma and passion for music, and desire to make it for the whole community surrounding him.

With the hopes of accumulating over a million streams with this new deal, Widell also has his eyes on being able to sign other artists as well. Don’t sleep on this rising artist since he’s about to pop up everywhere and show the world he is a major superstar in the making.
