It’s always a pleasure bringing in new artists to our readers. Check out our interview with Introverted Heart who’s ready to share his new music with the world!
Thank you for speaking with us! How are you doing today?
I am all over the place. Good, bad, emotional it is 2020, “New Year New Me” does not exist at this point.
Let’s speak about your newest single “Splash.”
“Splash” is a fun track which I made. I was working one day and I got paid and I feel like the man right after a long day of work. I usually never feel this way, but I felt different that day. So I went home and started writing about how it feels to get paid and not worry until you feel broke again.
Will there be any visuals along with this release?
I would love to release a video soon, I will be releasing a lyric video next month, an Animoji music video. It will be beautiful. I released a similar one before with “The Outlaw” which I released on my Youtube Channel. Introverted Heart.
Are there any specific artists or albums that have influenced you through your musical journey?
Definitely, with this particular song I got inspired more by Migos and Outkast out of anything. I never really rapped there style, but it helped more with my flow on the track. In my musical journey I am inspired by a lot of artists. The big ones are Kendrick Lamar, J Cole, Kanye, Em, LL Cool J, Slick Rick and the person who the two people that inspired me the most are my man O’Mighty Zeus and TaypacThePoet. Everyone doubted me besides those two and other close friends. I definitely recommend checking their music out too.
What are the biggest lessons you’ve learned this past decade?
The biggest lesson I learned this past decade is to love each other and pave a pathway for others to learn and grow off you. Violence is never the answer.
What’s your process like when you’re creating new music?
My process is to write, write, write, and find the right topic to write about. I never rap about violence unless it is about a topic that does not involve me. I make music for everyone and I do not cuss or swear in my music. I love to write for people to learn and feel good about themselves. I want people to learn the right way. It is never about the money, it is about how to shape our futures.
2020 has been a long journey for many artists coming up in the music industry. How has this year changed the game for you?
It changed a lot, I am also in college and I got a part time job, it makes it harder to find time to write. I am always looking for opportunities everywhere with my music, I just have a lot on my plate, but love doing these things for my fans though.
How do you know when you’ve discovered the right beat for a track?
When I can flow, if I can flow on a beat and can express what is on my mind I found the right beat.
How would you define success?
I would define success, by saying finding happiness.
What do you want your fans to take away from your music?
That I am here for all my “Dolls” I love you guys and we do not need money, fame, glory to be happy we got each other.
Is there one song that’s most meaningful to you? Why?
Yes! From catalog, there is a song coming out supporting feminism and fighting against body shaming and photoshop. Keep an eye out for that. Other artist, Childish Gambino “Freaks and Geek” because that song describes my whole life right now.
Best of luck with your music! Is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
