Hey Kendra and the Bunnies. So excited to be chatting with you. Tell us all about your new release!
Thanks so much for inviting me to interview! I am so thrilled about my recent release. I feel like it really showcases a new phase of my songwriting and recording style. It’s another style to add to my feeling of artistry. The new single is titled “NYKO, NYKO”. I happened to record it at home, and since a lot of people have been at home right now, I felt encouraged to reach out to some peers to collaborate. This has added so much dimension to the overall album. I am thankful for that. “NYKO, NYKO” happens to feature two amazing musicians: Marcus Rezak and Garrett Morris.
What do you hope your supporters will think of the new music?
I hope my supporters/bunnies will really like the empowered direction I am going in. I have always been like this, but I would doubt myself every 5 minutes. Now, it’s like only once an hour! 🙂
I hope my listeners hear that and are all about it… on repeat & loud!
How do you want your relationship to be like with your fans?
Honestly, I have started to get to know a lot of my fans! It is such a heart-warming relationship to meet people from all over the world. They care about me & my art, and I am so grateful they care, so I keep writing more & more… Well, I would write a lot anyway… but to have someone read it & listen. It’s the best!
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
This may be obvious. It may not be obvious. I am such an over-thinker. I think about everything backwards and forwards, and what ifs, and hows, and whys. It’s interesting. It’s daunting. It’s a lot — to be critical about every single facet of my life and my own personality. I create art as one of the modalities to transmute this anxious, exhilarating energy.
What do you want your message to be towards your fans? What do you want your fans to take away from your music and shows?
Truly anything is possible. Believe in yourself. Make peace with who you are, and move towards your destiny. I like the idea of seeking what gives us joy and goodness. I want fans to hear the subconscious message of my music. I share a lot of healing energy from places I have been emotionally, and I offer it so others can see how to deal with these things too.
