Actor, singer, and dancer Resa speaks with us about the creativity flowing through her life and the ways in which she has been able to use her interests in the most expressive way. Check it out:

How often do you set goals for yourself?
I like setting new goals during transitional periods, whether it be when I’m in between gigs, or starting a new year. It keeps me motivated and active even when not a lot is happening.
When do you feel you are the most creative?
I feel the most creative when I’m surrounded by fellow artists who are willing to take chances and be imaginative. Being in a safe and accepting environment is when I feel like my creativity flourishes the most.
What role does music play in culture?
Music is an amazing way to feel and express emotions. Even when you can’t quite find the right words to say how you’re feeling, there’s always a song or a piece of music that will describe it perfectly. And these complex emotions are what makes us humans, no matter where you’re born. I love how music can connect people across the world.
If you had to be on a reality TV show, which show would it be?
I’ve been told multiple times that I would win Big Brother, although I’ve never seen the show. Personally, I’d love to be on a show with Cesar Millan so that I can work on my animal whispering skills. I’m bilingual but being able to talk “dogs” would be an amazing additional skillset to have.
You are going on a road trip, what song has to be on your playlist?
I’m going to be a theatre nerd and say that any song from Legally Blonde the Musical has to be on my playlist! It’s so fun and upbeat, and perfect for singalongs.
If you could be next-door neighbors with anyone, who would it be and why?
I’d love to be neighbors with Cathy Rigby. I look up to her a lot since she was a competitive gymnast like myself, and transitioned to having an amazing career in theatre. I watched the DVD of her as Peter Pan so many times growing up. She also seems like such a wonderful person and having her as a next-door neighbor would be incredible.
