The Modern Gentlemen are officially bringing us the holiday spirit with their newest single “You Make It Feel Like Christmas” along with a cheerful new music video of the quartet appearing in a jolly-filled room with Santa Claus.
Hi, The Modern Gentlemen!! Thank you for taking the time to interview with us! We are SO excited about your new single “You Make It Feel Like Christmas”! We could really use the holiday spirit in 2020! What made you want to record the song?
Thank you so much! Yes, with all that’s gone on in 2020, we hope this definitely brings joy to everyone and a much-needed smile to their faces. We’ve been wanting our own original holiday song for a while now so we jumped at the opportunity to record this song as it just felt right for us in every way.
We love Christmas! Was recording the holiday single as fun as we’d imagine?
We really love Christmas too! Yes, it was SO much fun to record as we had the pleasure of recording the album at the legendary Village Studios in LA with some of the industry’s top songwriters and musicians.
What was the biggest hurdle you had to overcome when shooting the music video for it?
We were actually performing in a residency last summer in Atlantic City, NJ 5 nights a week and the music video location was in Canada so we literally had to fly there and knock it out during our 2 days off and get back in time to do the show so it was a whirlwind, but SO much fun to do!
What has been the most exciting part of releasing “You Make It Feel like Christmas”?
We think it’s really exciting to have 3 original songs on this project along with all the familiar holiday favorites which we hope truly brings some heartfelt joy to everyone out there. It’s something we’re really proud of and our families are excited as well to finally have us release our very own Christmas album!
What is a goal you’ve set for yourself when it comes to new music going into 2021?
Our goal is to definitely continue creating original music into next year and beyond. 2020 has been a year for self-discovery and growth for us as a group as it made us really bond together and create.
