LA based band Water Tower speak with us about their time in Los Angeles while pursuing their musical dreams.
Thank you for being with us! Where are you based and where would you say your fan base is?
Our pleasure, thank you for having us! We are based in Los Angeles and many of our family (fans) are west coast and US but our fans are worldwide, especially in the UK!
What would you never apologize for?
Expressing our beliefs and opinions as artists and musicians.
Who is your HERO and what does a HERO mean to you?
My hero is my dad because he always treats my mom with kindness. To me a hero is someone who is strong and giving, poised and humble. Slow and smooth. Smooth and fast.
What exotic location would you most like to visit or perform when COVID is finally over?
We just got back from a trip to Cabo San Lucas where we had the honor and pleasure of playing a destination wedding on the BEACH. Getting to share our music on a couple’s special day ON THE BEACH IN MEXICO is really special. In Mexico they take covid way more seriously luckily so as we were around town and in the hotels, we were constantly getting our temperatures checked, writing our names down, asking where we came from, sanitizer etc.
But after this is all over, we would LOVE to go on tour to Estonia because we played there once in 2011 and had SUCH a blast. It is a beautiful land and ALL the people there sing.
How do you juggle the day job and the dream career, or are they one and the same?
We never wanted a day job so we made it our career. I never liked working, I only enjoyed playing music so I started standing out on the street when I was 12 and it became the way we have found success as a band. Now after many years of studying how people experience music on the street, we have a method of making money everyday from playing our music. It is literally the dream 🙂
