Manchester-based singer-songwriter Ione expresses the universal desire to love and be loved by someone in “Loved By You.” The R&B single highlights the power of having self-love while still discovering how love can change the world.
Displaying her vocal talent from an early age, she has gone from playing in her church choir to performing with professionals including GORILLAZ, Errol Brown (Hot Chocolate), Adam Green, and Paul Heaton, amongst amazing other endeavors leading to her own personal stories turned into new music.
”Loved By You” follows the first single she has released “Tell Me,” which gained massive support from BBC Introducing and Radio 1. Her upcoming EP Tide is Changing will be released later this year with ”Loved By You” as the lead single.
The new single shares Ione’s love of pop and 90’s R&B with catchy rythms and relatable song lyrics such as “I don’t wanna be left alone baby all because you can’t swim out into depths unknown.” During a difficult time in 2020 where love is needed to be able to get through the hard times, this song is a reminder that “it’s important to never forget that we do need each other and vulnerability doesn’t have to a weakness.”
