Toronto rapper Jimmy Prime drops a two-minute-long single titled “Trust Nobody” as the third official release of the year following “Keep To Myself” and “Big Cap.” The track is expected to appear on his Blue Mercedes project coming soon.
“Trust Nobody” appears over a melancholic sound as he raps about the realities of taking life day by day and making sure his communities are good. The simplistic beats sit comfortably with the smooth rap lines flowing through the single. It’s such a chill track to play over and over again while appreciating how relevant and comforting his music has truly become.
As a member of the Toronto hip-hop trio Prime Boys, Jimmy Prime is also celebrating the drop of their new merchandise line Prime alongside Jay Whiss and Donnie. The collections include t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, and CDs of their past releases.
“I know Prime fans have been waiting for us to release the merch to the world, so it’s good that day has finally come,” Jimmy Prime told Complex. “This was all for Kosi, to make this all come to life was for him. Glad we can make him proud. Koba World.”
