South Carolina-based rapper, songwriter, and producer, Tommy 2 Fly (Melvin Thomas Young) released a new song inspired by his time living in South Carolina, titled “I Walk Carolina.”
Described as “Inspirational, Vibrant, and Soulful,” Tommy 2 Fly creates a unique flavor of Hip-Hop with catchy rhythms for listeners who haven’t heard of him before to fall in love with. In “I Walk Carolina,” he shows that he’s the ultimate South Carolina guy. “I Walk Carolina, I Talk Carolina,” he raps along to the classic, hip hop beat reminiscent of an Eminem track.
While Tommy 2 Fly grew up listening to R&B and Hip-Hop music, one day he picked up a pen and started writing his own lyrics. Now, he’s the owner of the 2 Fly Podcast, his own record label Rapyd Fire Entertainment LLC, and has signed a distribution deal with Bentley Records.
Artists like Nas, Jay-Z, Biggie Smalls, Outcast, LL Cool J, Ludacris, TI, Pimp C, Bun B, Wu-Tang, Boot Camp, and 8 ball & MJG, J. Cole and Big Kirt have left an impressionable influence in his life which gives him the motivation to keep moving forward in the music industry.
Keep an eye out on this rising artist because he’s definitely making South Carolina proud with this track!
“I love to entertain and share life stories of pain and joy to relate back to people’s personal lives. I want to be known for my rap bars, song content, and for the way my music relates to my fans,” Tommy 2 Fly said.
