Vincent Darby brings a cinematic experience straight to his fans with soulful R&B showcasing a voice full of great maturity, finesse and flair in his latest single, “Baby Oh I.” The rising Jamaican-British soul singer, Vincent Darby, is leaving his mark in the R&B world with his own creative sound.
The single sticks to the narrative that “love is here to stay” with enchanting gospel melodies and escalating vocal hooks meant to be played at the highest volume. His knack for songwriting originates from his earliest years where he discovered a burning desire to sing and would always be the first person wanting to sing along with MTV’s top charting music videos.
Vincent Darby reflects back to the process of creating “Baby Oh I,” “We began the song at around 2a.m. and finished the main body of it at about 5 a.m. We then added to the production over the next few days and then when we got to the studio we changed a couple things to turn it into the song it is now.”
The result of a freestyle writing session became a standout single that’s set to become a staple throughout his musical journey. The excitement behind the track will surprise fans of BBC Music Introducing on Radio 1 who will be pleased to find “Baby Oh I” featured on the BBC Radio 1Xtra playlist.
