There’s a five piece neo-funk band from London currently making waves with the up and coming artist Yazmine MB sharing their infectious indie and soul sounds with a classic funk groove.
Influenced by old and new funk and mo-town stars like Parliament, CHIC and Michael Jackson, the band fuels their creativity with genres ranging from gospel, rock, indie, and jazz. Their first song came together after bonding serendipitously over their mutual love for soul and funk music.
Penned in early 2019, FAZE prepare to release their first single together “Carried Away” this November. The single pays homage to the chaos and thrill of living the musician lifestyle. Their grooving bass and rhythmic guitar provides a unique tone intertwining with both masculine and feminine characteristics throguhout the song.
“If you’re a musician or a performer you’ll know the absolute high you get when you come off stage. you really do feel on top of the world, what better thing to write a song about than that?” Yazmine MB says.
